First I want to say is DUI is never a good thing.. driving intoxicated is selfish and dangerous.. I don’t plan on never driving behind the wheel intoxicated again.. but I had two unfortunate DUIs 2023 and 2024.. Charged in 2023 with driving 101 in a 70 mile an hour speed zone, my 20-year-old daughter was terrified of the outcome and feared survivability if sentenced to jail time. Mr Greg Willis is the Michael Jordan of DUI defense in the country. The literal goat, 🐐👑 he has no close second. I was from out of state, found my self in the hot seat of a dui arrest as a CDL A holder. Hired Mr Greg Willis the best decision I ever made. He handled my case with professionalism, I never had to go back Georgia once throughout the process. He had my situation open and shut within a couple of months no having to wait around which is a big deal I’ve had speeding tickets that I hired lawyers to take of that took far longer than he did with this sensitive situation. ……yes I know its long but I promise it’s worth it. And I hate writing essays BUT Attorney Casey Cleaver truly deserves it!
Here I am going through a prolonged DUI court case 3 years after the incident occurred in 2021. This is due to my previous attorney consistently finding excuses to push it back and not caring about me as a client. I was so stressed by not having this case nowhere near being resolved while also dealing with that arrogant (but pessimistic) attorney I had before Mr. Cleaver (I want to state his name so bad but let me not be that petty lol). I say all that because we finally get to my motions hearing for my case earlier this year (2024) and it does not go the way he wants. Immediately after the hearing he then proceeds to tell me to prepare for trial while also recommending me to switch to any attorney from Willis Law Firm since they also have the power to appeal court decisions. In other words he is indirectly saying he doesn’t think he will win the trial or even cares to win it for me at all.
I looked online under Willis Law Firm and something in my mind, heart, and gut told me to meet with Attorney Casey Cleaver and see how he feels about my case. We look over my case and he also, in his gut, feels like he could easily win my case for me. As we come to that agreement, I decided to switch from my previous attorney to him.
This I where I started to find out truly that Attorney Casey Cleaver was the real deal. After another motions hearing with him as my attorney we finally go to trial which lasted 3 days and every step was some of the most professional work of an attorney I have ever seen……I mean this was my first time dealing with a court case about me but just take my word for it lol. I was very anxious at the time and Mr Cleaver always found a way to keep my anxiety at a minimum with his cool, calm and collected demeanor. During the jury selection, he literally got some type of bio out of each possible jury member and actually made it kind of fun to select a jury. I swear it felt like a game that him and I were playing against the prosecutor for which he knew who the prosecutor was going to “strike out” and which jury members we had the best chance of getting. It was like as if it were a tutorial for an attorney game and he was my guide through it all as he thoroughly explained each step of the way. After the jury selection, we proceed for the next two days.
During his opening statement, debate against the prosecutor and closing statement, it was easy to see that Casey Cleaver was hungry to win this case. He had both of the police witnesses and even the prosecutor stuttering and lost for words at times by the questions he asked them and how he called out ALL of their flaws dealing with their evidence against me. He found even the smallest to biggest flaws in both the police’s sobriety tests on me and even the mistakes in their reports on the situation. His closing argument was one that I believe everyone in that court room, even the prosecutor, could find it very hard to not accept and disagree with.
We finally get to the verdict about an hour after the jury discusses all their opinions about my case. While I am sitting there nervous out of my mind next to Mr Cleaver, I could just see his confident anticipation for the verdict that he knows we are going to get. As the representative of the jury slowlyyyyy reads the verdict (it had my anxiety on 100% lol), he finally says that “the jury finds that he is NOT GUILTY on both counts of DUI and Failure To Maintain Lane”. Attorney Casey Cleaver then proceeds to give me the coolest head nod ever and I proceed to give him the biggest “oh my God I love you so much right now, bro” type of hug lol as we both quietly celebrate in the courtroom. If you read all of this and are still weary about hiring Casey Cleaver then I don’t know how else to persuade you. He is THAT attorney and he humbly knows it!!!

Seriously, Greg Willis law firm turned nightmare into an unpleasant experience. Once you get past his receptionist everything is professional and courteous. When you call, you always get someone. In a rare occasion I couldn’t reach my lawyer. Voicemails were always returned within 24 hours.
I’m sure everyone at the law firm is wonderful but I had interactions with Ms. Jones. She is always pleasant, quick on her feet with thinking, and knowledgeable, about the case and law. Every single time we talked or met; she never made me feel like I had to remind her of information of my case. The fact that I had refused the breahalizer test didnt deter him in the least, as he was (at the time) presenting the “informed consent” argument to the GA supreme court. Ultimately, after reviewing the video several times, and after getting conflicting testimony from the State;s supporting witnesses, Greg submitted a Motion to Supress the video, under the premise that the “stop” and subsequent questioning of me by the offier was in fact a “2nd Tier Seizure” – the officer, who handnt witnessed the accident, who didnt know the make of my car, or my descriptioin, or anything that identified me as one of the parties involved in the accident, stuck his hand out of the window and told me to stop, back up to the parking lot, and tell him what I was doing. At that point, I complied with his command, which then incriminated me into the DUI case. Greg’s full and complete understanding of Georgia Stop and Seizure case law, including supporting precedents. allowed us to submit that by the officer’s simple act of stopping me with his hand out of the curiser window was considered a 2nd Tier Stop- meaning that the stop was an illegal use of a 2nd Tier Stop. As the officer had no objective basis for suspecting that I was involved in a criminal activity, the motion to surpress all of the subsequent evidence against me was granted, and the case was dismissed. I had a bad run for a few months after turning 21 and ended up being arrested 3 times for DUI within 6 months. I thought my life was over. Then I met with Mr. Willis. From the moment of my arrest, I felt lost and hopeless as I did not know what was going to happen next. This past July, I was arrested for a DUI in Sandy Springs. I blew a .085. What made my situation worse, was the fact that I was a 2nd year law student. To me, a DUI would be devastating. It meant that I wouldn’t be able to pass the character-fitness portion of the bar exam. Tremendous job on my case. Greg did an amazing job on my case. I was arrested for DUI in Wilkes County, and vehemently disagreed with the results of my breathalyzer test, which I took voluntarily. Who you want and who you need … PERIOD!!!In last summer of 2014 I was arrested and given a ticket for DUI and hauled off to jail with my numbers being .135/.137. The next day I started investigating and found Attorney Greg Willis. I went and met with Mr. Willis that Monday. When I first met with Willis he sat me down and explained how the Breathalyzer machine REALLY works and his knowledge of it. He told me of his reputation and his full dedication to getting a reduction or even dropped all together. He explained every possible situation that could come about and was very clear about it. I knew exactly what we were working with. Without much hesitation I hired Mr. Willis. He went above and beyond what I ever expected a lawyer would do. Felony drug charge dismissed. A judge referred me and my family to Greg Willis. We understood that he had a long history and reputation for investigating and working his cases better than any other lawyer. The judge said there was a huge difference in hiring a lawyer and hiring one like Greg that really cares about his clients. I was arrested at a concert for possession of LSD. The best DUI lawyer you will find! Unfortunately, I have needed Greg on three occasions for DUIs. He successfully negotiated reductions to reckless driving on two occasions and my third is currently pending. He is extremely knowledgeable and his advice and recommendations have been spot on. A man who renews your faith in the legal profession. I must admit I have had the unfortunate pleasure of working with Greg on more than one occasion. Whether it was on my case, a member of my family’s case, a co-worker, or a friend, EVERY situation resulted in a win for his client. Successful defense of three separate DUI cases with Greg Willis. I have had the privilege to have Mr. Greg Willis represent my DUI case three times over the course of several years. In all of the cases, Greg and his team have successfully defending my position by either having the case completely dismissed, or plead down to a lesser charge. Hardest working and most persistent lawyer in Georgia I was arrested for DUI in 2009 because of an extremely high breath test. Greg Willis worked the case for five years to get my case dismissed. I interviewed three lawyers before Greg and nobody had a plan to attack the science like he did. I almost didn’t go to the interview with Greg and that would have been a terrible mistake. I figured all lawyers would defend cases the same. I was wrong. Greg has cases pending at both the Georgia Supreme Court and U.S. Supreme Court. Each time we went to court he was answering questions from the judge about Georgia law. Greg was always explaining to the judge the progress of his cases that were on appeal. The judge had a genuine interest in the progress of the appeals. I made many, many trips to court with Greg and he never gave up or complained. He was prepared for every question when in court. I cannot believe he pushed the case this far along to get the right result. His case pending at the U.S. Supreme Court is even two years older than mine. Even the judge was impressed! Mr. Willis worked long and hard on my case, and he succeeded in having a DUI charge reduced to a lesser (and far less onerous) charge. At the end of my final court appearance, the judge himself made a point of telling me what “excellent representation” I had received. What more of an endorsement could an attorney get than that! Greg was the best choice I could have made in the midst of a horrible situation. I was charged with a DUI back in 2010, actually I was charged with a DUI and other traffic violations as well. I initially hired an attorney, whom I was referred to, who basically was the reason I was arrested a second time. This attorney advised me that my case had been continued and one day I received a call from the Bail bondsman saying I had missed my court date. Long story short, the bondsman came off of my bond and I was arrested. Not only did Greg step in and handle the failure to appear case but he also fought for and won the DUI case as well. He requested a motions hearing to get the DUI thrown out and that is exactly what he did. He did not give up and actually appeared to study my case as if I was his only client. Greg was outstanding in my defense. Don’t hire an attorney based upon cost. That is a big mistake. I did what most people do when hiring an attorney when I was charged with a DUI in Alpharetta, GA on February 2014 ; I went on the internet. My DUI left he grasping for answers as I was lost, humiliated, embarrassed, and feeling somewhat helpless. Trust me, if you are charged you will have those same emotions. I found Greg and read his reviews and watched his video on challenging the source (computer) code used in Breathalyzer equipment in the State of Georgia before the GA Supreme Court. His passion for protecting the rights of his clients was very impressive so I decided to hire Greg. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. My first meeting with Greg, he first addressed the emotions I was having as a person. He made it clear that my problem was now his problem and that he was going to work as hard as possible to get the best possible outcome. Having said that, he made no promises until he got more evidence. The evidence against me was pretty strong. I refused that state administered Breathalyzer which meant my license was going to be suspended for one year. Greg immediately sent a letter to the DDS of GA requesting an administrative license hearing. With some work Greg was got my license reinstated so I was able to drive until my court date. One great piece of advice Greg will give you is to immediately begin community service, drug and alcohol assessment, and DUI school. By doing this, Greg was able to get me out in front of the curve when it came down to negotiating a plea. Actions speak louder than words when you are faced with a DUI. If a solicitor or DA reviews documents that you are contrite in your actions, the better chance you have in court. I did this and it actually helped me emotionally as I knew I was working through the evitable. Unless you are absolutely sober as a church mouse and have a great case, follow Greg’s advice on this matter. I met several people who used other attorneys on this matter and they either didn’t get or follow this advice. So when there court date arrived, they had to complete community service, DUI/Drug Assessment, and DUI School after sentencing which met they were placed on probation which if you don’t know, you have to pay 44.00 a month while on it. Because I had completed all my service quickly, I was placed on unsupervised probation. Without Greg, I would not have had the foresight to do this.
Finally, a DUI charge isn’t something to play around with….it can be very serious and damaging to your life and your employment. However, with Greg’s expertise you stand a very good chance of a favorable outcome. Good people make mistakes. Learn from those mistakes and let Greg help you put this behind you. My mother and father are both attorneys in Florida, and they received numerous recommendations for Greg Willis. Will fight for fairness. Greg and Shay are a great team. With penalties for DUI going through the roof you can tell he is fighting for fairness in the process. I am confident that had we allowed my defense to go to trial we would have won, but given the options, a Reckless Driving Plea was a good outcome for the evidence pile he had to work through. He was very knowledgeable about the process, had a clearly defined defense strategy, set reasonable expectations at the first meeting, and followed through to a T. If you think that your case is hopeless, I highly recommend paying Greg a visit. I had 3 meetings scheduled the day I met with Greg with other offices, the other two were less expensive, good lawyers, but had no reasonable plan of attack specific to the details of my case if it did go to trial. They made basically the same bottom line promise that the best I could hope for was a plea deal and that being my 1st time I would probably get one, but had no strategy, fire, or plan to actually take it to court, I was scared. Fantastic Defense for 2nd DUI. I had a difficult second offender DUI case in Fulton County when I hired Greg Willis to represent me. My case was complicated because I had submitted to field sobriety tests and had my blood taken for chemical tests. It was made more controversial because I had not willingly submitted to a blood test. A new law allowing a judge to sign a warrant to involuntarily take a blood sample had been put in effect and was applied to me. I was facing severe penalties if convicted for this second DUI. Greg rocks! I got arrested on 7 counts in December 2008 and one of them was a DUI, where I blew a .22 on the breathalyzer test. The arrest happened in Cobb and Greg said that he would not make any promises, but would fight to get my DUI dismissed. So, this was my first time ever needing an Attorney. All I ever had was one speeding ticket and another traffic ticket. I was facing a pending DUI charge. So I Google DUI lawyers and Willis Law Firm was one of the firsts ones to pop up. I called and spoke with a very nice woman. She said that she will get my info and have Mr. Willis reach out to me. After a few hours Mr. Willis called me and that initial consultation I had with him went so much better then I had expected. Mr. Willis made me feel very comfortable, he explained how the process worked, and he instilled a lot of confidence for me in his firms ability to handle DUI cases. He provided me his background in dealing with DUI cases and his knowledge with the whole process. He was also very familiar with Fulton County courts.
I felt very comfortable at that point to go ahead and retain his firms services. I will also say that the cost was not as bad as I was expecting. I setup my payment plan and even the woman I spoke with to set my payment plan up was so helpful and she even made me feel comfortable. She assured me I was in very good hands and not to stress too much.
Now for almost a year I did not really hear from anyone at the firm about my case, but also I had not heard anything from Fulton County courts. I say all of this because I read some of the reviews and some people were saying that they were not getting any communication from their appointed attorney. Please do not let any of those reviews deter you from obtaining their services. I learned that if there is no information coming from the court system. Then there is really nothing to report from the attorneys end.
Now I did receive a call from a different attorney within the firm. He was introducing himself because he was taking over my case as my current attorney was leaving the firm. Right off the bat I got a great vibe from Casey. He had this confidence about him and again I felt completely comfortable.
Then the time came. Casey called me and asked if I got the letter from Fulton County stating when my court date was. Of course I did not get that letter, but thanks to Casey he was all over it. I was a nervous wreck. Again, I had never been in trouble like this before.
Every step from when Casey called me all the way up to the court date he made me feel comfortable and had full confidence in representing me and my case. Casey knocked it out of the park. He was on top of it. I am not exaggerating when I say Casey brought his A game. He guided me the whole way and he definitely knew what he was doing. His attitude the whole time helped me to calm my nerves.
I write this long review to say. If you find yourself facing a DUI. I very much encourage you to choose Willis Law Firm. I also highly recommend asking if you can have Casey Cleaver as your attorney. All you need to do once you retain the services of Willis Law Firm is to trust in them and they will do the rest. The process may take a while, but you will be in very good hands.
